Joyful....
That my hubby was home to take care of me today. I was up dressed and ready to leave for work. He took one look at me and said go back to bed. Sometimes he knows me better than I know myself.

Season of Joy: 14
Joyful....
Today I'm joyful that we have chocolate in the house. Sometimes M & M's do make it all better. :)

Season of Joy: 12
Joyful....
Today I had my hair done. I am so excited. I've lived here for five years and I never found someone to do my hair where I always liked how it looked. Now I've found that person! Best of all she listens to me, told me to bring in pics of what I'd like and she would tell me if it would work with my hair. I left with a cut like the pics I showed her. WOO HOO!
Then when I asked what products she used, she told me and then she asked me what I currently use. She told me to just use my normal gel with the mousse she sells. HURRAY! I love when they work with me and help me find the best product for me.
It's been a long day and I didn't have time to have Boyd take my picture. Maybe tomorrow.
I love a good hair cut and I love sitting in the salon and smelling that salon smell!

Season of Joy: 11
Joyful....
Having the smells of Christmas in the air and remembering days gone by.
I have my favorite candle lit, Christmas scents on the stove, and Chex Mix was in the oven. Smelling the Chex Mix cooking tonight I was reminded of being in Mom's kitchen and helping her make it. Sneaking a pretzel while she was stirring - warm buttery pretzels are the best!

Season of Joy: 9
Ok so I'm changing topics this month. I'm not as into my class as I was hoping I would be. I think I'm going to try it early next year.
Now I'm taking on Martha's challenge of Season of Joy. Listing things each day that I am joyful for.
Today I felt joyful at the Holiday Lunch at work. Another coworker and I planned the annual event and it went off pretty much without a hitch.
We had Hy Vee do the catering and had both ham & turkey, potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing and three kinds of pie.
Due to the blizzard yesterday we both forgot to pick up some extra pies so we ordered them from Hy Vee. We went with apple and a cherry or berry pie. They brought the most amazing raspberry pie. My coworker thought it was black berry but it seemed to sweet for that. Plus they had the old fashioned light and fluffy crust.
Everyone had a good time and more than enough to eat. Speaking of which I need to pack a plate and a container cause we're having leftovers for lunch tomorrow! :)
Happy Thursday!
