I am so excited that the weekend is finally here. I'm going to a retreat with a bunch of my friends Friday through Sunday. I'm looking forward to getting a lot accomplished and lots of laughter!
I'm going to miss my boys. Turning around from scrapping and seeing Buddie laying behind me or a row of his toys. Having Boyd stop on his way through to drop a kiss on my neck.

Feeling blue....
We decided that we were interested in adding another dog to our little family. I'm always hooked on black labs or any lab for that matter. So we got pre approved to adopt from the local humane society.
Today I was feeling much better and we decided to go & take a look at the labs. When we got there we met Lucky and that's the only lab we got to meet. Boyd fell in love and Buddie seemed ok with him. So I agreed with alittle hesitation that we should adopt him.
The drive home was so good, both boys in the back seat of the truck. Buddie not sure what's happening and Lucky just chillin and sitting there looking out the window. I thought it was a match made in heaven.
Then we got home and well things didn't work out. We ended up taking Lucky back and we're not sure if we are ready to be multi dog parents.

Who knew....
Adding page protectors to scrapbooks was so tiring.
I've been home all week with a fever, Dr's not sure what's wrong just wants me to rest. I'm tired of surfing the net, watching TV and just lounging. So I decided to be productive and work on something I've been putting off. I thought going through my scrapbooks and adding page protectors, making notes on what's needed to finish would be easy.
After 20 mins I was ready to take a nap.
So far I've been through 4 albums. All need title pages, 2 albums have a couple (or 20) unfinished pages. There are so many albums left and no more page protectors by my side so I think I'm done for awhile.
Feels good to have gotten this far. I'm hoping to be done by next weekend so I know if I need to buy any more protectors.

Blessings week 3
This week I feel blessed to have all of the technology that we do.
Cordless phones, cell phones, computers, laptops, wireless computers, digital cameras, printers that can print photos, auto start on vehicles, tv, the internet, automatic garage door openers, auto car locks.
As a result of all of this technology I can
* cordless phones - talk to family and friends while wandering around the house.
* cell phones = hmm what to say. Mostly I'm thankful that they allow me to stay connected while on the road in case of problems.
* computers - it's my job ;)
* work from home on the cold snowy days when I don't feel comfortable driving to work.
* meet new friends online and stay connected with family and friends.
* printing pictures - cause then I can finish that great layout and not worry about saving it until the pics are developed.
* automatic garage door openers - with our cold weather and the wind I'm so glad I didn't have to get out and open the garage door. I remember doing that as a kid and I hated it.
* auto start - hello who doesn't like getting into a nice warm car? especially if you didn't have to go out to start it. ;)
* auto car locks - it makes life so much easier especially when you have your hands full.
I feel especially blessed to have all of this because I know my grandma and my mom did not grow up with any of these. Grandma use to tell me stories of riding in sleighs in the winter and if it was too cold they just stayed home. Mom tells me stories of sitting behind grandpa in the car and he would have to roll down the window for the arm signals (thank god for turn signals). Depending on the weather she would get wet or cold.

Project 365 - I'm taking a picture a day for the next year. My current goal is to post a weeks worth at a time. This week I'm doing better at daily postings.
Scrappin Our Stash 2009 - Miss Martha and I are pacing partners for using up our scrappin stash this year (if you want in let us know and MM & I can talk *wink*). This is where I'm posting most of my layouts (over 20 finished so far) and other crafty projects.
Buddie the dog - Buddies own personal blog, not too many stories lately. I think Daddy and I need to work on that. hehe

Signs...
All signs point to the start of another work week...
- Laundry is done
- dishes are washing
- coffee pot is set to start at 5
- cell phone is charging
- The living room, dining room and kitchen have been straightened.
- Buddie is hiding out upstairs - he freaks out when I start wandering around the house while putting things away.
- Lunches are ready to be packed in the lunch boxes.
- I'm curled up in the recliner with the laptop, book and all the remotes. woo hoo!
I'm sad to see this weekend come to an end. I had a great weekend relaxing and hanging out with my boys. Spent a lot of hours scrapping, made a pot of soup today and watched a little football. sigh!
I am not looking forward to tomorrow - weather alert for a blizzard tomorrow. yucky! Boyd said it's supposed to start at 3 PM, my mom said it's supposed to start around 6 PM. I haven't looked it up online cause I figure it will change by tomorrow morning. Cross your fingers that I get an early out tomorrow and we're delayed on Tuesday if needed. Oh and Boyd is supposed to be working from 7-7 Mon and Tues - if he's feeling better.

Blessings Week 2
This week I feel blessed to have such a great dog. We adopted Buddie at 12 weeks as new doggie parents. While we've had our ups and downs Buddie is now a great friend and lap/bed warmer.

Sunday evening
Another weekend complete and the start of the work week is looming. Weekends seem to go so quickly anymore and this has been a long one. This week is going to seem so long!
I think I have a handle on all of my challenges and found a way to make them work for me. I have completed four days of the 365 pictures challenge...check out my profile for the link to the blog. I figure with the blog I can scrap it when I get to it. ;)
Now I just need to make time to sit down and make a schedule for the work week. When to excercise, scrap/craft/blog and of course cook dinner. LOL!

Projects and Challenges....
There are so many projects and challenges that I want to be a part of I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. Which is so not my intention.
There's the Scrap your Stash 2009 challenge to use up what I have and limit purchasing. Martha and I are doing this together so I'm commited. - Jan challenge completed. lol!
There's the Card Makers use your Stash challenge which Martha is also doing. I'd like to participate and get some cards premade.
There's the 52 weeks of gratitude album which I think would be so cool to have for my down days.
There's the project 365 - taking a picture a day. I think this would be so cool. So I started it and started a blog to hold all of those pics. Not sure if this will grow into an album but we'll see. - 3 days down.
I know that a lot of these things fit together I just don't know how to keep everything straight. I need to make a plan of action or something.
On top of all of my crafting I'm making a point to exercise everyday. I pulled out my walking DVDs and we have the Wii and several 'active' games. I've done fairly well with it this week now to see how next week goes.
I know 27 days of doing something makes it a habit...only 24 days to go.

My One Little Word for 2009 is Believe.
- it's one of those things that when I saw the word I knew it was my word for the year.
Now I need to be like Lee and find a bunch of believe words to put on my window sill in the scrapping area. Wish I would have thought of it before Christmas when all the ornaments and stuff were out. :D

Outback bowl winners!
Hurray, the Hawkeyes won!
We had a great day even though the game started so early. I whipped up some Chicken Noodle Dip and Boyd made Chili. Boyd's friend from grade school came up to watch the game and hang out.
Buddie did surprisingly well - he was super excited since he loves Pat. By half time Buddie was asleep at Pats feet. :D
Then Boyd challenged me & Pat to a duel (said in the voice of Brian Urlacher in the old spice commercial) in Wii Bowling. Pat did surprisingly well for his first time and with a little alcohol. I kicked his but in bowling and golf. He whipped me in baseball and tennis.

We are settling in getting ready for the Outback bowl to start. Iowa is playing South Carolina. This 10 AM game time is not fun!

I've been busy learning Wii Fit. I was shocked to find it at my little WM tonight. We were out stocking up on treats for tomorrow & our little Outback bowl party. LOL!
Boyd crashed out on me at 10 along with Buddie. I got 45 mins of exercise in yahoo!
Now I'm settling down with my awesome wine and surfing the web.
