For Today

My friend Martha had this on her blog, the ideas from The Simple Woman's Daybook and I decided to join in.  Something to help me remember the good and happy things from the day is always good especially on a Wednesday.

FOR TODAY

Wednesday January 20, 2010

Outside my window... it's windy, cold and freezing rain/sleet throughout the day.

I am thinking... my boss will be mad that I left early but I accomplished a lot from home.

I am thankful ... that the ice wasn't as bad as predicted.

From the kitchen... just discussing dinner. Boyd want's BLTs or Grilled Cheese. I wanted to use up the pork sausage in the fridge... we settled on the only thing my Grandpa could cook (according to my mom). Fried potatoes, pork sausage, onions and scrambled eggs all topped with cheese. Yummo!

I am wearing... sweat pants and a heavy Vikings sweatshirt.

I am creating... a new online ordering website for work. :) Need to get crafting for home.

I am going... to skip my walk tonight due to the weather. Instead we are going Wii bowling.

I am reading... a library book by Dixie Cash. Funny mystery.

I am hoping... that we have something sweet for a treat tonight.

I am hearing... Sports Center or Pardon the Interruption.

Around the house... picking up the house for company on Saturday. There will still be Christmas stuff up and out.

On my mind... I need to pay bills. I hate paying bills.

One of my favorite things... having my hubby surprise me with pictures he took around town.

My one little word for the year is CHANGE. I am making changes in my life.

Currrent changes:
* drinking 48+ ounces of water a day. Trying to drink 16 on the drive to work and I've noticed I'm more awake in the morning. :)
* walking every night when I get home from work and then feeding the dogs. I have more energy at night and the dogs seem happier.
* eating healthier and snacking healthier. I'm down 20 lbs since August. woo hoo!
* picking up the living room each night before bed. Kitchen stuff in kitchen, blankets folded and toys picked up. Em has been putting toys away when she's done with them :)
* kitchen - trying hard to keep up with the dishes was doing really well and slacked off over the weekend. Doing a bit better keeping the counters picked up.
* blogging schedule that I've been keeping up with.
