So I forgot until I saw Miss Martha's post that today is the 12th. Wow, the year is already half over and it's less than six months till Christmas. Wish my local craft store would realize we don't want the Christmas decs lining the aisle already. (it makes me want to put my tree up already).
Any way back to the 12 on the 12th as I said I forgot so I'll try to paint the picture with words and see if I can follow up with pics later.
1. Started out the morning in the best way possible. Sleeping in till 6 (haha) and watching my cake shows that I record through the week. I can't get enough of the Cake Boss or the Ace of Cakes. Boyd surprised me with a cappuccino and cinna melts. - love it!
2. Got my cake bag ready for class... Making flowers again this week.
3. Improvised an egg casserole recipe - hashbrowns, 4 eggs, milk and cheese with assorted spices.
4. Road Trip....Mom and I went to a family friends house to pick her raspberries. All that red, gold, and black goodness. Yummy!
5. Had lunch with our friend and enjoyed visiting with her an my mom. I'm jealous that mom left her peaches and cream - guess I need to go visit more often that's when I get the leftovers.
6. When we got home my mom headed up the stairs first. The instant she hit the steps I heard Buddies stranger danger growl. My heart stopped as I tried to get in front of her. She said she wasn't scared but I as the doggie momma was terrified.
7. Laundry - only two loads - woo hoo!
8. Dishes - unloaded, reloaded & wash, waiting to be unloaded again.
9. Having Raspberries and Vanilla pudding for dessert - eating dessert first =) It was one of my grandma's favorite summer desserts. I was sad I didn't have french vanilla.
10. Surfing the net and catching up on all of the blogs in my blog reader.
11. Enjoying time with my boys. The hubby is sick and the puppy wants to play!
12. Relaxing at the end of a great weekend. I read some articles today about Stay-cations and the things you can do at home to make it more relaxing. I realized that for us it's just a mindset. This summer we've had the best weekends at home! It's all about taking time to realize that we are having fun at home - no set plans and just making an effort to relax.
Well it's time to head out for frisbee lessons with Buddie. Hopefully I can catch some pics.
