Today I am grateful for my job. I am working at a company where I can joke around with coworkers, they are open minded and ask for feedback/recommendations and I feel like I'm contributing.
I love to come home and see my boys. They are both very excited to see me each evening. Buddie will follow me around and wait for attention. When I go to pet him he will sit up and wrap his front paws around my arms and stretch so that I can scratch his neck.

Hasn't it been close to a year since you first learned about the employment changes you'd be facing in '08? I'm glad that your job is treating you well...overall it sounds like it a pretty nice place to spend you day (at least until you win the lottery and can afford other options!)
